Riders:Bryan CharlestonChris Lea David Bridge Edith Hipwell Henk Altmann (deceased) Joseph Kingbury Liam Smith Sorrel Williams Riders = 8 Report:The weather forcast of wind and rain must of kept the cyclists at home tonight we set of with 9 Rider, but quickly lost David and Jo who decided he did not like riding in the wind. we headed out in the wind in the direction of Letcombe Regis and Letcombe Bassett. Henk plan was to climb Hackpen hill and back down blowing Stone hill, however faint hearted cyclist like me decided that i did'nt fancy climbing up onto the downs where the wind would be even stronger. We decided to head back down the hill through Childrey and out round the Vale. Henk got a punture at Childrey and sent us on while he stopped to mend it. The rest of us completed 19 miles and arrived back into grove in good time. on my way home I met Henk cycling back into grove to check we arrived home safe. | ||
