Oxfordshire CTC Centenary Celebration |
---|
Leader:Robin Tucker |
Start Time:3:00 pm |
Start Location:Eynsham Village Hall, 46 Back Lane, OX29 4QW |
Description:This year sees the centenary of CTC/Cycling UK activity in Oxfordshire. The Oxford District Association (DA) was formed by a group of local CTC members in 1924 and many thousands of rides and events have been enjoyed by generations of local cyclists since. The DA was the parent for all the current Cycling UK member groups in Oxfordshire: Oxford City (including Isis Cyclists), Oxfordshire Midweek, Wantage and Wallingford, as well as former groups in Bicester and Witney (West Oxon). To mark the event all CTC/Cycling UK members past and present are warmly invited to join us for a Centenary Celebration at the village hall in Eynsham. In CTC tradition, refreshments will include Coffee, Tea and Cakes... Proceedings will start at 3pm and last up to an hour. Do wear club kit and in particular vintage Oxfordshire kit if you have it. To register for the event please sign up here, (this is the same form as for the century ride the day before). There is free parking in the Back Lane car park (57 Back Lane, OX29 4QP, with public toilets), which is less than 100m from the village hall. There is limited disabled parking outside the hall itself. |
