Description:Kingston Bagpuize, at 16 miles our longest 1* evening ride of the season taking advantage of long midsummer days. Out via the Hanney Lane track over the railway to West Hanney then on to Fyfield Wick. There's a nice gentle descent from Southmoor before we return via Charney Bassett.Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Our leisurely and sociable Tuesday evening 1* rides are designed specifically with adult newcomers to cycling and youngsters in mind, or those who just want some relaxed and sociable exercise. We cover a distance of 10-15 miles (16-24km) at a gentle pace of 8-10 mph (13-16kph), following quiet country lanes and the occasional easy off-road track. We stop regularly to catch our breath, to take in the views and anything that takes our interest along the way. |

Description:https://www.cyclinguk.org/event/welsh-festival-cycling-24 days of cycle rides, lots of options from 20 mile potters to 130km and 200km Audax ! So there is something for everyone. See the link for more details (and making own bookings, Audax booking due to open early April; festival and campsite bookings open end April or Early ?May) I went last year and thought it excellent, so am going again, I went as an individual, but there were many small groups there, it would make a great club weekend away,feel free to contact me for more info about it. You can go for as short or long time as you want, the camping was ridiculously cheap, there are also various hotels/B&Bs in the area |
