MINCE PIE RIDE REPORT
First of all, I want to say a huge thank you to all who helped out and rode on the Mince Pie ride last Sunday. We seem to have exceeded the previous year once again!
We had 4 rides on offer this year. Many thanks particularly to the ride leaders: John T, Glenn, Steve S and Robin.
Based on our standard counting method (counting the number of cups used!) we reckon there were at least 140 riders on the hill. We estimated 100 last year and thought that was pretty amazing, but we seem to have beaten the record yet again. Groups turned up from Oxford, Bicester, Charlbury, Swindon, Didcot and Newbury.
The other important record broken was in the amount of money generously donated. This year we collected a magnificent £612 for the Whizz Kidz charity. For more details of the wonderful work they do, see:

I was particularly impressed with the generosity of Club members in delivering vast quantities of wine and mince pies (many of them home made). Many, many thanks for that. A housekeeping point – we have quite a few tins, boxes and other containers left from those deliveries. if you would like to collect any of these, I will leave them in our porch for a week or so (or give me a call).
NEXT SPECIAL EVENT – CLUB DINNER, SATURDAY 19th JANUARY 2013
We are continuing our cunning tradition of holding the annual Club Dinner a little later, so hopefully giving those of you not in strict training a chance to recover from any possible slight excesses over Christmas and New Year…
