Report:A select group of just 3 riders for this morning ride, which was really nice. The roads between Denchworth & Hatford were unusually busy for a Saturday morning. Once we had turned off from Hatford into Sandy Lane, we were able to enjoy some wonderful quiet lanes. We had a small stretch of the A420 to cycle along up to Littleworth. Due to the M4 being closed, this made the A420 a bit of a challenge, but we all made it nice & safely into Littleworth. From this point we enjoyed a nice decent & the quiet roads to our tea stop. Amanda had heard great things of the cinnamon buns at Blake’s Kitchen of Clanfield, so we made this our pit stop. A cyclist cafe for sure & as for the cinnamon buns A fantastic cafe stop, thanks Amanda. Once refreshed we made our way through to old Shifford & Great Brook which was mostly traffic free. Buckland Hill was tackled by all 3 riders with ease As we crossed over the A420 at Buckland which was a breeze, we gave Kath a heading in the opposite direction. We arrived back in Wantage 13:30 hrs. Kudos to Gerry for using a mountain bike on this ride. Very impressive. Thanks guys for your great company!! | ||
