Oxfordshire Tri-Vets and Annual Century Ride 3*
Leader:
Robin Tucker
Start Time:
8:00 am
Start Location:
Islip Village Hall, OX5 2TA
Description:
28-Jun-25: Now updated with final route.

Our Triennial Veterans' Century Ride (Tri-Vets) returns in 2025! The Tri-vets is a 97-year old tradition for cyclists over 50 to complete a 100-mile ride in 12 hours.

As last time, we will combine this with our Annual Century Ride, so all Cycling UK Members are welcome. We’ll start formal bookings later, but please email me to go on the early booking list.

Our current plan is to follow the pattern of the last few Tri-vets and start in Islip, with stops at Bodicote Garden Centre, Charlbury (ex-Ramsden) Garden Centre and Stanford-in-the-Vale. This will be a led ride with 3 groups of up to 12 riders.

Cycling UK Members only on this ride. If there is sufficient demand we may operate a waiting list.

Report:
A grand day out! All went very smoothly and we managed to escape the heat under cloudy skies in the morning. 18 riders from across the area and Cycling UK groups took part, with all but one completing the century. Well done to all!
