Description:Monthly 80-100km (50-65 miles) all-day touring ride, lunch and possibly tea stop en route, at a riding pace of 18-22km/h (11-14mph). Not suitable for irregular riders. Not suitable for irregular riders.A trip out to Whelford lakes and the Magic Beans cafe (27 miles). This has both indoor and outdoor seating and was great to visit last time we went. We'll have a second stop at either Aston or Bampton, depending on whether Great Brook is flooded, before heading back to Wantage. 58 miles in total. |

We headed to Whelford Lakes for our first stop at the Magic Beans cafe - a welcome break with good food and plenty of room inside. We then enjoyed the great views around Castle Eaton before heading towards Aston pottery for the second stop and then home.A scenic route that everyone seemed to enjoy. A tough headwind at times - thanks for taking the lead then Ed. Great to welcome Sharon back to her first ride in 2025 with the club and thanks to everyone for being such good company. | ||
