Nobody told the wind though - which made it rather entertaining at times. Heading out with the wind at our backs to Castelnaudry was quite literally a breeze. Castelnaudry is the home of the regional duck casserole dish, Cassoulet. Nobody had it for lunch though. Many did visit the patisserie thou, for a little energy-building dessert...Heading back into the wind, we rode along the well-prepared track of the Canal du Midi, stopping for a very nice ice-cream break at one of the many locks. Apart from fighting the wind, which was actually quite unpleasant at time, it was quite a chilled ride. The evening saw a return to Castelnaudry to eat, at an excellent little restaurant tucked away and packed with locals. I don't think anyone had Cassoulet this visit either... | ||
