Description:
Weekly 1.5 hour rides at a riding pace of 18-20km/h (11-13mph). Not likely to be very hilly.

Optional stop at The Fox in Denchworth at the end of the ride.

A marginally more testing route tonight. Through the Letcombes and up our favourite pair of little hills: Holborn and Hackpen. Then we carry on down the other side towards Lambourn, take a right back over Seven Barrows, down (mercifully, down) Blowingstone Hill, then also down Kingston Lisle Hill and via Goosey to the pub.

21 miles to the pub, at around 12mph.

Blistering weather - rather too hot for comfort at the start of the ride. But a good group - a particular welcome to two new riders (Pam and Tony) and one returning rider after a few years gap (Mike). We definitely felt the heat on the big climb of Hackpen, but the rest of the ride rolled along very nicely, including the fun descents of Blowingstone and Kingston Lisle Hills.

it was great to get to the Fox at Denchworth and see the garden full of parked bikes and contented cyclists!
