Riders:Chris WaltersDavid Smith David Talboys Jon Townsin Karen Townsin Katherine Boyce Nick Portsmouth Nicole Pethybridge Richard Pethybridge Ron Cutler Ursula Hallam Riders = 11 Weather:Report:Eleven riders enjoyed good cycling conditions and were treated to some splendid Berkshire and Hampshire countryside along some roads that were new to many. The main climb at Coombe Gibbet was managed by all riders who were rewarded by the wide 'four counties' vista - well done all A swift descent over the back and into Coombe was replaced by a gentle roll toward lunch at Husrtsbourne Tarrant. Lunch at 'The Tea Cosy' was enjoyable, if a little slow, and the steady but manageable ascent of the escarpment allowed everyone to work off their luncheon ! The weather stayed fine until the last half kilometre or so (it may have been longer for some?!) and the sun began to shine again. Thanks to all for an enjoyable ride and for making my first ride leader's experience trouble free. | ||
