Report:
A ride at the top end of the the 3* grade was enjoyed by 12 riders on Tuesday evening. Lots of uphill to start, to the top of Sparsholt, before the lovely swooping descent down into Lambourn. After a brief refreshment stop for ice-cream for the leader and sweeper the peloton moved swiftly up the valley past Ashdown House with a welcome tail-breeze. A swift drop down Ashbury Hill was followed by a brief sojourn along the first part of the spring line road before descending further through Woolstone. The return to Grove was via Uffington, Goosey and Denchworth, although we did lose John G to a puncture just before Baulking. Thanks to all concerned for keeping up a great pace, and being such an easy group to lead.
Distance:
