Our leisurely and sociable 10-mile club rides are designed specifically with adult newcomers to cycling and youngsters in mind, or those who just want some relaxed and sociable exercise. We cover a distance of about 10 miles at a gentle pace of 8-10 mph, following quiet country lanes and the occasional easy off-road track. We stop regularly to catch our breath, to take in the views and anything that takes our interest along the way.

Tonight's route will take in the well surfaced traffic free route 544 and the quiet lanes around Lockinge and Ardington. We return to Grove via Lains Barn.
There are some uphill sections, but nothing too steep. As usual we will take these at our own pace and allow plenty of time for re-grouping.

Report:
A brisk wind and threatening skies didn't deter us as we set off through Grove and onto the NCN 544. The roads through Lockinge and Ardington were quiet though unfortunately, the only car we met was just as we needed to use the whole of the road to make a sharp, uphill left turn. Strangely Josh was the only one who wanted to turn back down the hill and have another go!
The descent past Laines Barn was delightful and we returned to OMH without Ian needing the waterproof he hadn't brought :).
