Slight rain at the start but nothing to complain about. Sun shone the rest of the day. We arrived at the Mill just after 12 had an interesting look around and where leaving just before 2pm when Kevin Hickman and everyone arrived. Delayed by a pub stop! After a brief chat we raced back to Wantage. After Chaney Bassett, rumbling tums set in, so we were distracted by exceedingly good cakes and tea at Uffington, Rex Theresa and Des left us at that point, the rest returned to Wantage. 57.5 miles with only the one puncture.The valve separated from the tube on Rex's back wheel, this seems to be becoming a common mode of failure. Michelin have been told, it is with their technical department but we have heard nothing for ages! Maybe it we will hear one day. | ||
