Description:Monthly 60-70km (38-45 miles) afternoon ride, with a tea stop, riding pace of 20-24km/h (13-15mph). Likely to visit distant destinations. Not suitable for irregular riders. Climbing likely.Shortened version of the Sunday ride I led in January, this time crossing the River Pang at Stanford Dingley. Quite a bit of climbing but the worst of this will be over early after the grind up Chain Hill. The reward comes in the form of the quiet lanes and views that follow. Report:Delightful ride with good company through leafy Berkshire. We missed the storm at Wantage but caught shower at Stanford Dingley. However by Hermitage the clouds had disappeared and we enjoyed tea and cakes outside in the sun. Slightly delayed by the puncture fairy but arrived back at 1730. It was good to see Terry back on good form (and Jenny not too worried about him!) and to hear his story. | ||
