Riders:David BridgeDiana Whidborne Martyn Wigmore Michael Tayler Roger Postbeschild Steve Boreham Susan Holdroyd Riders = 7 Weather:Report:Glorious day!! Although it was a "select" group of a Magnificent Seven(!) Maybe the "Royal Wedding" effect, plus other things, that kept others away...Very smooth, relaxed ride all round. All coped well with the "rat run" from East Hanney to Steventon - which linked the to "ends" of the ride together - namely the quieter roads to the Hanneys, and then - post tea stop - the picturesque route from East Hendred onwards. A very welcome, fairly long tea stop at Q Gardens, with nobody in a rush. Nice to enjoy an outside "chill" in the warm weather! It was noted, that the two hills on the ride were coped with efficiently, with Roger, on his 3-speed, 70 year old bike, who made it to the top first on both!! Three broke off in Wantage (having earned their corn by cycling from Wantage to start with) leaving four of us to return to Grove. Thanks all for a great ride in the sun! | ||
