Description:Half day ride (45-55km / 30-40 miles), with a tea stop, at a riding pace of 18-20km/h (11-13mph). Not likely to be very hilly. Might be a struggle for new or irregular riders in winter months.A flattish ride through the vale, heading north and then westwards to Shrivenham and then south to Bishopstone. Coffee stop at the Café at Ashbury (21 miles) and then home via Uffington. 34 miles |

We welcomed Ian and Marion Skipton, who normally ride with the Midweek Group. We set off north through the Vale and then westwards to the far end of Shrivenham. South through Bourton to Bishopstone where we turned left to join the Springline road to Ashbury. We had coffee and cake sitting outside at the very pleasant café. Onwards along the springline road until Compton Beachamp and then to Uffington. Back through the Vale and home via Goosey, Denchworth etc. A very pleasant morning ride with good company! | ||
