Description:This is a pre-bookable ride only. To book your place please text ride leader no sooner than the Monday before the ride. Half day ride (55k / 35 miles), with a picnic / refresment stop at Farmmor reservoir (cafe there is open for takeaway, although I will probably bring my own refreshments) at a riding pace of 18-20km/h (11-13mph).(If the weather is looking horrible, I might change the route for eg a 25 mile option and skip the picnic stop) |

Report:Well by comparison to the first Summer ride of the season it was positively Mediterranean!The hardiest of groups with 6 committed riders all making it to the start, however with persistent rain forecast for the afternoon we opted for the shorter route planned by Jan but in reverse. Heading out to Lyford and Garford we went on to Marcham Tubney and returned via the bridge meeting Jan's group just outside the White Hart- shame it wasn't open! We then went onto Southmoor, and back via Charney and Denchworth. 23.7 miles in total. So lovely to be out riding with good friends and great company, let's hope the weather improves next week. | ||
