Riders:Alan PriceChris Walters David Bridge Des Higgs Geoff Neill Henk Altmann (deceased) Ken Brown Kevin Fairs Laura Makin Mark Robbins Peter Busby Philip Thornton-Evison Steve Swanton Riders = 13 Report:Probably our hottest evening ride ever, with thermometer still hovering near 30 at 6pm. Des led us on a fast but flat ride via Charney Bassett to Fyfield, Netherton and along the "ridge" road to Hinton Waldrist. Then back via Pusey and Stanford. I offered a "breakaway" slower option on several occasions, but no-one took me up on it. By the time we reached Denchworth the idea of a nice cool beer had become irresistable, so most of the group stopped for a quick pint at the Fox.
