Report:Brian and myself enjoyed a lovely weekend cycling in the Buckingham area with the Buckinghamshire Da. As you can see we bumped into a few cyclist that ride with our group. Brian and myself completed the moderate rides on both day. Saterday riding from Lacey Green to Waterperry garden centre taking in the phoneix Trail and Brill windmill, which was was very enjoyable, apart from the fact that we were left behind at Princes Risbourgh when the traffic lights changed but we managed to return to home base alone. On sunday we cycled from Lacey Green on a tour famous peoples and TV stars homes into Tring along the Canal and the water reseviors where there was an assortment of wild birds. On the return journey we travelled on serveral single track roads that were well past repair with no cars. On one very steep climb my bicycle thought it was a horse, I turned to look at a car that was approaching from behind and my front wheel hit a stone lifting off the ground dumping me in the road in front of the approaching car. Nothing hurt but my pride landing in the middle of the road on my bottom. I believe David did the short ride on Saturday and returned home, while Barry Des and Derek did the longer ,faster rides both days.Brian and I would recommend joining other DA's on some of thier rides, as it gives you a chance to enjoy the country side in other parts of England | ||
