We were delighted that John, Carin, Sally, Susan and David decided to join us for a very enjoyable and sociable walk. The back route into Denchworth, entering the village through the churchyard was new to some. The scenery was all rather beautiful with frost on the fields, hedges and trees and ice on the Childrey Brook.Steve and Mandy were already at the table on arrival, Patrick arrived shortly after having cycled, followed by Robin and Kerry. An excellent, convivial meal ensued. Afterwards, the seven of us on foot retraced our steps in the encroaching gloom, arriving back in Grove to streetlights after 4pm and a round trip of about 4 miles. Thanks everyone for your amiable company. Thank you to Di Whidbourne too for organising the lunch. We were sorry that you were unable to make it. And finally thanks to David for the pics. Hopefully, conditions will be kinder for the MPR next year. | ||
