The first half of the ride was incident free, it was great to see numerous clubs out enjoying the quiet roads between baulking & Uffington. Weather wise we had a mixed bag, at times strong headwind’s, a few light showers which soon fizzled out leaving us with a pretty good ride to Aston Pottery where we all enjoyed some beverages. Cyclists seem to dominate the cafe though not too busy. On the second half of the ride we enjoyed the ride around Shifford stopping at St Mary’s Church for a couple of photos. As we cycled along the A415 Karl suffered a broken gear cable, this played into Karl’s favour as we were close to his home, a quick bike swap & we were on our way homeward bound. Many thanks to Sharon, Roger & John for there secondary ride leading skills, very much appreciated. Thanks to everyone for making this an enjoyable day. | ||
