Description:A slightly longer ride out to Stanford-in-the-Vale via Charney Bassett returning along Park Lane (14 miles). There will be optional stop at the Fox in Denchworth towards the end of the ride.Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Our leisurely and sociable Tuesday evening 1* rides are designed specifically with adult newcomers to cycling and youngsters in mind, or those who just want some relaxed and sociable exercise. We cover a distance of 10-15 miles (16-24km) at a gentle pace of 8-10 mph (13-16kph), following quiet country lanes and the occasional easy off-road track. We stop regularly to catch our breath, to take in the views and anything that takes our interest along the way. |

Riders:Diana WhidborneMartyn Wigmore Michael Tayler Richard Whidborne Steve Boreham Steve Swanton Tim Waite Riders = 7 Weather: Report:Nice little group of six set out on what had become an overcast evening - the lunchtime sun and warmth had disappeared! - and slightly chilly wind......However, - importantly it stayed dry. Steve S had messaged to say he may not make the start and duly caught us up at Charney Bassett, so six became seven. A very pleasant amble with appropriate one star "chilling" stops - the promise of the pub at the end... Tim and Steve S had to get back so did not join us at the pub, but the remaining five of us enjoyed food and drink to round off a lovely evening. Thanks folks for your company! | ||
