Description:Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Monthly 16-32km (10-20 miles) family and social rides, usually with a tea stop, at a riding pace of 13-16km/h (8-10mph). Occasional short or gentle climbs.A local away day ride that enables us to extend the route into areas less travelled on 1* rides. We start at Uffington Village Hall (plenty of free parking) and head to Fernham to take the road to Shrivenham, with good views across the Vale to the White Horse. Then we visit the lovely village of Bourton before joining the Springline Road at Bishopstone and following it to Ashbury for our cafe stop. We then drop down to Compton Beauchamp and wend our way back to Uffington. 20 miles / 32km |

Report:Just three of us, but a fun time was had as we explored the far west of the Vale having started the ride in Uffington. All went well, apart from a dangerous moment with an S6 bus (now reported to Stagecoach). Lovely Bourton as always was a particular highlight.We had a great cafe stop in Ashbury (still understaffed, but we arrived at a quiet moment) and then we dropped down to Compton Beauchamp for some quality billionaire gossip before heading back to Uffington. Thanks to Carin and Des for a fun morning! | ||
