Description:A ride out to Pusey, where we will stop by the Italianate church. From Charney Bassett there is a stretch of easy off-road to reach Pusey: first on a gravel track, then on a grassy track through woods and finally a short stretch of field. We'll continue to Stanford for refreshments at the coffee house. Return via Park Lane making a round trip of 16 miles.Please book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Easy sociable ride of 24-32 km (15-20 miles) at a pace of 14-17km/h (9-11 mph). |

Report:Well, we got pretty wet on the way home from Stanford Coffee House, but on the way there we managed to dodge the showers, sheltering for a few minutes in the bus shelter at Charney Bassett. Stopping to admire the poppies by the bridleway to Pusey, we noticed white webs crawling with caterpillars munching the hawthorn hedge. More poppies at Gainfield - a stunning sight! And to think I nearly cancelled the ride because of the poor weather forecast! A grand morning out, with great company. | ||
