Hello everyone
Just a quick note to let you know the outcome of the club AGM, held on Monday 17th October:
1) The AGM voted to change the club’s name from CTC Wantage to Cycling UK Wantage. This is consistent with the change in name and branding of the national organisation of which we are a member group. We will be discussing this at our the first meeting of the new Committee and will focus mostly on the website and related public material. This change has no effect at all on how the club operates.
2) Having decided on the name, we can go ahead with finalising the design of our new club jerseys. Nicole and Emma Pethybridge showed some very nice designs at the AGM and we will plan to enable these to be purchased in time for Christmas presents!
3) The new Committee was voted in as follows:
Chairman & Membership Secretary: John Tranter
Secretary: Nicole Pethybridge
Treasurer: Roger Postbeschild
Rides Secretary: Jon Townsin
Publicity: Steve Boreham
Webmaster: David Smith
General Committee Members: Steve Swanton, Karen Townsin & Paul Jarvis
4) The club prizes were award as follows:
Best new rider: Karl Blake
Best contributor to the club: Nick Stokell
