Description:Monthly 60-70km (38-45 miles) afternoon ride, with a tea stop, riding pace of 20-24km/h (13-15mph). Likely to visit distant destinations. Not suitable for irregular riders. Climbing likely. This 77k ride will take us up Chain Hill and off to West Ilsley, Great Shefford and Lambourn where we'll stop for refreshments before returning to Grove via Ashbury, Goosey and Denchworth. |

Report:An enjoyable ride out over the Lambourn downs and back with an unexpected downpour from Lambourn onwards (well done to Chris and Alan for having the foresight to leave the ride at Great Shefford!).Over tea at Lambourn, we decided, by mutual consent to cut the ride short due to the rain and headed up over Hackpen Hill and back to Grove via Wantage. Des forked off at Seven Barrows and John left at Wantage, leaving Adrian and I to break the tape at OMH! | ||
