Description:

There comes a time in any Tuesday 2* ride programme when you just have to do Uffington White Horse Hill. That time has come! We will take the easiest and most straighforward route there and back via Denchworth and Goosey, so that we can spend plenty of time on the great Hill without rushing it.

Don't worry - you can do this! A little bit of resting or walking on the way up is perfectly fine. In any event, the views will be spectacular, as will be the descent into Woolstone.

A great group and a great ride. Congrats to Nicole for catching us up after a late arrival. Beautiful sunny and wind-less evening for tackling the great Hill. We could see it looming and calling to us as we approached Uffington village. Everyone managed the climb extremely well and we thoroughly enjoyed the amazing views from the top. There were some keen whippet shaped racing types up there, including one guy who kept on coming round several times. We ignored him.

The descent into Woolstone was as exhilarating as ever and we made good time with a slight tailwind back to Grove.
