Riders:Barry EggbyBarry Stanton David Jackson Des Higgs Gerry Jones Joanna Houlston Karl Blake LeeAnn Norris Roger Postbeschild Stephanie Haddrell Riders = 10 Weather:Report:10 riders gathered at Aston Pottery to be suitably refreshed before setting off. Jo managed a slight incident before setting off whilst attempting to admire the flowers - no harm done and dusted herself off!Barry E had his first failed attempt to pay cash - Aston Pottery is card only! The journey to Burford Garden Centre was incident free and the food, whilst not cheap, was good, with the cakes coming in for particular praise. Water and ice to top up bidons was particularly welcome. Barry E once again failed to use cash! On leaving lunch, we received a very light sprinkling of rain, unexpected but not unpleasant and short lived. Cloud cover kept the temperature to a reasonable level for cycling. The ride along both sides of the Windush valley is not without undulations but Cogges Manor Farm was soon reached for afternoon refreshments. The ride back to Aston is pretty flat where more refreshments were taken (see a theme here). Most then returned by car or motorhome, Karl and Barry S rode back home. Apart from LeeAnn having a loose mudguard we had no mechanicals and the group was great company. | ||
