Description:Half day ride (45-55km / 30-40 miles), with a tea stop, at a riding pace of 18-20km/h (11-13mph). Not likely to be very hilly. Might be a struggle for new or irregular riders in winter months.A special ride from Grove out to my place in Longcot for tea, coffee and cakes. This is my way of saying thanks to everyone for another good year of cycling. Exact route to be decided on the day, approx 25-30 miles. |

The leaders front mech gear cable snapped before we got out of Grove, so I had to ride with a very high cadence to our cake and coffee stop at Longcot. I swapped bikes for the return to Grove!We were very well looked after by the boss (wife) with more than enough bacon baps, homemade cakes and tea and coffee. I would like to thank you for joining me for a very informal birthday party (my birthday was actually the next day) and also for making an old grumpy cyclist very happy.
