windy (fine)
Report:
Five intrepid riders set out from OMH at 9.30 (early for a Sunday). We set off at quite a high pace to warm up as the wind was quite chilly. We took turns on the front until Roger got to the front on his E bike and he stayed there until we got to Shrivenham. We thought of the Keirin event from track cycling with the derny bike out front!
We decided to stop for coffee and breakfast at Shrivenham where Barry bagged the last sausage roll (probably old stock!)
We headed back to Grove via Uffington with the wind behind us a lot of the way - so strong in places that we hardly had to pedal to maintain a really good speed. It was just as well we had eaten at Shrivenham as Parsons was closed so we had to use Costa and it was the ride leaders shout!
Thank you one and all for a very entertaining Sunday ride.
