Description:As a courtesy to the ride leader, we ask that you pre-book for this ride. Half day ride (60-70km / 38-45 miles), with a tea stop, riding pace of 20-24km/h (13-15mph). Likely to visit distant destinations. Not suitable for irregular riders. Climbing likely. This is a pre-bookable ride. To book a place, text 07512645320 or email edlittle157@gmail.com your name to the ride leader no earlier than 9:00am on the Sunday before the ride. You will receive confirmation or be advised that the ride is fully booked. A reserve list will be maintained.We’ll head out of Grove passing through Buckland, Clanfield, Filkins, Langford, Little Faringdon & Coleshill. We’ll take our elevenses at Carpenters Canteen. Once refreshed we’ll head out through Shrivenham, Longcot, Uffington & Goosey arriving back in Grove for around 01:30pm. Ride distance 46 mi/ 74km. |

Report:Five of us set off from Grove on a lovely sunny morning. The ride went extremely well with no mechanical’s or drama’s. Traffic conditions were nice & light which is always a bonus though we did experience a tuff head wind for part of the ride. It was really nice to see so many fellow cyclists enjoying the good weather. All riders enjoyed a refreshment stop at Carpenters Canteen where we were served excellent coffee & some very tasty freshly baked cakes. The service was excellent & couldn’t fault them at all. We arrived back in Grove for around 01:10pm. All riders managed an average speed of 25kph. Chapeau!!A lovely group to lead & to spend a morning with. Hopefully see you all on another ride very soon. | ||
