Description:As a courtesy to the ride leader, we ask that you pre-book for this ride. Sociable rides from 24km-40 km (15-25 miles) at a pace of 16-19km (10-12 miles) per hour. Please check website on the morning of the ride if the weather is poor as the ride may be cancelled or the start time changed. This is a pre-bookable ride. To book a place, text your name to the ride leader no earlier than 9:00am on the Monday before the ride. You will receive confirmation or be advised that the ride is fully booked. A reserve list will be maintained.A 48 km ride with a coffee stop at Annie's at the Boathouse in Abingdon. Flat - 175 m; maximum 2.5% (according to RWGPS)! |

Riders:Barry StantonDavid Jackson Des Higgs Jenny Gower Karl Blake LeeAnn Norris Roger Postbeschild Stephanie Haddrell Terry Penn Riders = 9 Weather:  Report:Overnight rain gave way to glorious sunshine for the morning.We set off via Hanney, across the plains to Steventon, where it was pointed out to your leader that, perhaps, 27 kph was a little speedy for a 2 star (I blamed the tail wind). We arrived in Abingdon via Peep-O-Day Lane and parked up at Annie's. The weekend staff were very efficient and it proved to be a very warm suntrap, enjoyed by all. The return leg, via Gozzards Ford, proved a little slower as we were now into the previously enjoyed wind. Coffee back at Grove was taken by most of the group. A shower of rain did brew up then and I caught a few drops on the way home.... Good to see LeeAnn out on a club ride after some time off. | ||
