Description:Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Half day ride (45-55km / 30-40 miles), with a tea stop, at a riding pace of 18-20km/h (11-13mph).Slightly longer than usual at 61km but pretty flat - Buckland Hill is the only climb of note. Late coffee/ early lunch stop at Aston Pottery. This is a re-run of the ride enjoyed by just three of us just after the Coronation - at more like 2 star pace this time! |

Report:More or less a re-run of the post Coronation ride, with a small diversion where we went through West Hanney. I can report that the chippings have had a top dressing of tar and the village is sporting new 20 mph signs all over the place.We mostly had courteous drivers until, when climbing Buckland Hill, a woman driving a silver mk2 Focus decided to try and shove me off the road. I hope that the driver is not reading this report as I find it hard to believe that she is a cyclist. Two firm thumps on the side of the car from yours truly may well have left some dents but I did manage (just) to stay on the road. She drove off. I suppose I should own up to another ride posted as two star being ridden at three star pace...... | ||
