Report:
Lovely to have some ladies out with the 2* group great to see Julie and LeeAnn! We set of on the planned route which did not include Hackpen, inspite of the description, having tackled Hackpen on 2 previous rides this was not on the agenda this evening. I for one was pleased and so too Julie!
We headed out to the Letcombes via Denchworth road and Ickleton road and as we passed through Letcombe Basset picked up Mike Bailey who had not been out for some time. We made our way through Childrey, Westcot and along the springline to Kingston Lisle before descending Fawler Hill and onto Uffington.
It was lovely to have a mixed group and all moved around during the course of the ride to catch up and have a chat. We were blessed with no incidents and only a light shower on the return journey from Fernham to Shellingford. We then went via Hatford Charney, and Denchworth back to Old Mill Hall.
Mike Bailey peeled off at Denchworth road to head back to the Letcombes just as the rain started, fortunately he had a waterproof.
Distance:
39.43 km (24.50 mi)
