Description:Ride out to The Cantorist for coffee.Heading out to Letcombe before Childrey for Coffee. Unfortunately we have to Tackle the hill up Ickleton road in order to get to Letcombe avoiding the floods. Fortunately the hills will be over before coffee so the return will be a breeze! If you have overshoes please wear them as the roads are still quite wet!  Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Easy sociable rides from 16km-24km (10-15 miles) at a pace of 13-16km (8-10 miles) per hour usually with a cafe stop. Please check website on the morning of the ride (particularly if you have forgotten to book) if the weather is poor as the ride may be cancelled or the start time changed. |

Report:A beautiful spring morning for a ride and lovely to see so many assembled at Old Mill Hall for both 1*and 2* rides. So good to have some girls out on the ride for a good old natter!We headed out on the planned route towards the Letcombes tackling Ickleton road to avoid floods. It was a great descent to Letcombe Regis and then onto Basset lovely to see the Daffodils out and the feeling of warmer weather to come. We paused at the top of Holborn Hill to catch our breath before riding into Childrey for a great extended coffee stop at the Cantorist where we were joined by the 2* group. After coffee we stepped out into winter, the wind was cold and precipitation was in the air, so glad that the return route was less challenging and we road to Goosey and Denchworth and back to Grove. Thanks to all for the company. | ||
