Riders:Brendan St JohnDavid Jackson Des Higgs Gerry Jones Ian Howland Julie Haynes Karen Bunting Karl Blake Mila Yearley Roger Postbeschild Sarah Lewis Stephanie Haddrell Riders = 12 Report:Another beautiful evening for a ride, clear blue skies, a gentle breeze and great company. This evenings ride was popular and attracted 12 riders and so we split into two groups Roger very kindly stepping up to lead the second, and to Sarah for having the route downloaded. It was lovely to see Mila, Karen and a new member Brendan. Steph a group of Julie, Ian, Brendan, Mila and David, heading out of Grove through mains St and along the cycle path to Charlton heights. The ride was one of various cycle paths some of which had gravel surfaces, and required care on a road bike. We headed to Lockinge via the track from the Nelson and on to Ginge past Best Mate and the Rhinocerous. We the picked up the cycle path to Hendred enjoying a descent into the village and admiring the carved owls as we went. Then past the brook and onto the path beside the school to cut across back to the Ginge road. As we picked up the cycle path towards the Bridge of Doom Davcid on his gravel bike led the way and we were delighted that all manoeuvered the technical challenge with style; and styeve was waiting with the 1* riders taking photographic evidence! After a brief stop and catch up we continued along the footpath to Ardington, and then headed out of the village up the road to the A417 and then down past Laines Barn home to Grove. A marvellous evening, thanks to everyone for their company and flexibility!

Riders:John SpeakmanMichael Zywko Richard Pethybridge Robin Tucker Steve Legate Riders = 5 Weather:Report:Summer time and the trails are bone dry - but only until Thursday, so let's get some miles in.We rode to Letcombe and up the hill, the west and down at Seven Barrows, which really ought to be called 'Seven Ruts' (and none of them the right one. But that's only the bottom quarter, the rest of the hill is good fun! Then we headed north back up to the Ridgeway and straight over down Sparsholt Field the other side, which was running really well, always a little intense with little drops and lots of loose stones, plus this time a group of young women hiking up the other way (pedestrians have priority of course!) Then we followed roads to Childrey and picked up the Bridleway and Canal back into Wantage.
