Sociable ride of 24-40 km (15-25 miles) at a pace of 18-20km/h (11-13 mph).A loop around the Vale via Hatford, Fernham, Uffington and Childrey for a coffee stop at The Cantorist. A good group that stayed together well with lots of chat and banter. Interesting to have three out of eight bikes motorised. Fawler Hill was in the process of being resurfaced and the loose gravel wasn't great, but everyone made it up there well. Cantorist cafe was, as always, a pleasant experience and we arrived just as the 1* group was heading back out. A few more ups and downs through the Letcombes took us back to base as the sun came out.Thanks to all for great company. | ||
