Description:Off-road ride around local tracks, usually about 15 miles. Knobbly tyres and good lights required. We are keen to welcome new riders and have spare lights available to borrow if you let me know.Dark, cold and wet - we'll ride in any 2. But please let me know if you are coming so I can tell you if I decide to cancel due to really bad weather. |

Riders:David BrownGareth Paterson John Talbot Riders = 3 Weather: Report:Up and over the Ridgeway and back again; a fairly standard route, but nevertheless an enjoyable one, with the downhills of Wether Down (Old Street) and the 'Ginge singletrack' never failing to raise a grin.As an alternative to the 'bridge of doom' we returned via the track through the woods at West Ginge where we met the Upton Ladies ride (I think) who assured us they'd flattened all the nettles on their way through for us. Sadly the nettles had sprung back, along with the brambles, so we were left a little stung and scratched, but it takes more than that to put us off... but maybe we'll avoid that trail for a few weeks until the nettles have lost some of their string! In addition to Gary and John we were joined again by Gus O'Connell for the first half of the ride up to the foot of the Ridgeway. | ||
