Description:A faster/harder Tuesday evening ride. These rides will be at the limit of what the club will offer in terms of speed and/or effort.Average speed will be 25-30kph (16-19mph) on flat rides. Route of 48 km (31 miles) up Manor Hill to Chaddleworth and Boxford back through Winterbourne and down Chain Hill. Given the hot weather forecast please bring two water bottles for hydration on this hilly route. |

Riders:Andy CowanFrank Schroer Geoff Covey Paul Jarvis Peter Cowan Phil Stubbings Riders = 6 Weather: Report:Our hastily arranged route ended up perfect on a sunny, still, glorious evening for cycling.Started with a stiff climb up Manor Hill but then we had the luxury of a lovely fast, slightly downhill 8 mile blast on a great surface with barely a car on the road before turning up Buckham Hill which looked worse than it was, well for Geoff anyway and the rest of us chugged up for a welcome breather. Next it was the lovely little village of Boxford where we went left for another undulating 10 miles on empty roads keeping together like a mini Peleton all nicely tucked in behind Frank and Geoff, thanks lads! The finale was a windless, fast decent down Chain Hill which wrapped up a great ride before we shook hands and home for tea. Thanks for coming fellas. | ||
