Riders:Allen StaceyDavid Brown John Davies Richard Pethybridge Robin Tucker Riders = 5 Weather:Report:A glorious sunny evening. It started with a bit of faff as John's front QR had mysteriously disappeared from his bike. After a failed attempt by Allen to get in to his own house, David B was able to produce a spare from his shed.Despite the sun, our first section on Crab Hill still had all the deeper, muddier - and smellier - puddles. After that, things picked up - up Lark Hill specifically. Then we cut right and up a track paralleling Manor Road to the Ridgeway. Most of us were feeling good for a 'bonus' descent and climb, so we went down the big grassy 'Sheep Hill' / 'Jolly Green Giant' fast, turned right and climbed back up. Along the Ridgeway further and then a fast descent down to Betterton, not in how dry and dusty can sometimes be as slippery as when wet. We finished by cutting across the bridleway to Ardington, and then back via Charlton and Crab Hill again. | ||
