Description:This will be a 2 hour ride at a riding pace of about 16-17mph, expect to push on in good flat conditions to around 22-24mph for short periods. No-one will be dropped. This week could be a toughie. We'll warm up with Chain Hill and head out practically to Newbury before turning right towards Welford. Riders:Andy CowanFrank Schroer Jason Jones Ken Pelton Paul Jarvis Peter Greenfield Phil Stubbings Simon Payne Riders = 8 Weather:Report:I was a bit nervous setting off on the distance/climbing limits for a Tuesday night especially with the wind and Chain Hill in the way and none of the usual lead outs, until, just on cue......... Mr Schroer appeared! He did the lions share of the work at the front of what turned out to be a very tight group which was a real bonus considering the terrain,so thanks Frank.I m sure you`ll want me to pass on your thanks to Paul for giving you a 2 minute breather!Welcome to Simon on his first 4* who along with everyone else had no problems getting us all back bang on time. Just at the bottom of Manor Phil had a dreaded and a slight mechanical but the leader soon sorted him out! Thanks everyone for coming 33.5 miles @17.4 mph We do need more leaders, not just for 4* but across the Club.If interested chat to any of the ones we have and we`ll point you at Chris Walters who will arrange a bit of training for you. | ||
