Description:CTC Oxford City are coming to Wantage on Sunday 14 August for one of their awayday rides.Meeting in Limborough Road VoWHDC car park at 9:30am, the ride is about 41 miles up onto the Downs (via Blowingstone) with coffee in Lambourn and lunch at the Stag, Leckhampstead all at a 2* pace. I’m planning to ride this one and other Wantage riders would be very welcome. Please let me know if you’d like to join us. |

Report:8 riders from Oxford assembled in the Limborough Road car park to be joined by Karl and myself. Having spotted the CTC winged wheel sign above the former Oxfam shop, David suggested taking a picky in front of it. This was duly done, before we set off to the Letcombes. I continued with the group as far as Kingston Lisle and then waved them off from the bottom of Blowingstone... having been ill during the week, this was enough for me, and I trundled home to flop in front of the Olympic coverage!So how de the rest of the ride go?... I've included on the list, several Oxford riders who ride with us occasionally (as quite a few have from time to time). Steve S | ||
