Description:Monthly 60-70km (38-45 miles) afternoon ride, with a tea stop, riding pace of 20-24km/h (13-15mph). Likely to visit distant destinations. Not suitable for irregular riders. Climbing likely.A lumpy one this time exploring quiet lanes in Wiltshire and Berkshire. We head out via the Letcombes and Hackpen Hill, through Lambourn and Aldbourne to Ramsbury where we'll stop at Bella's for refreshments. Then it's back into the Lambourn valley, partially retracing the outward route before branching off for Seven Barrows and Kingston Lisle. Then it's the usual way home through Goosey and Denchworth. I shall be pacing myself up the hills  so we will be pausing at the top of the climbs. In order to enjoy the route and appreciate the sceney, and given the amount of climbing, I shall be aiming at an average pace of 20-21kph for the ride, so lower end of 3* pace.72km with 675m of climbing |

Bella's was well timed, coming after 4 of the 6 climbs had been ticked off, and whilst the weather was at its most pleasant. Meeting the Hendred posse on their bike touring weekend meant that the cafe was pretty overrun with cyclists which felt good too. Thanks everyone for an enjoyable and sociable afternoon. I do love our club.  | ||
