Description:

Weekly 1.5 hour rides at a riding pace of 18-20km/h (11-13mph). Not likely to be very hilly.

Optional sociable stop at The Fox, Denchworth after the ride.

A nice mellow ride this evening, just enough to work up an appetite for the pub. North via Denchworth and Charney Bassett, crossing the A420 on the Southmoor bridge, then a nice meander round the back of Longworth to a beautiful hidden corner with a manor house and a church, well surfaced brldleway to Hinton Waldrist, then back via Pusey, Stanford and Park Lane to the pub.

17 miles to the pub and 20 miles in total. No hills!

It's always a but sad when the realisation sinks in that the nights are drawing in and the Tuesday evening season has to also draw to a close. Only one more left! But it was great to see such a good group enjoying this lovely summer evening.

It was a mellow and pleasant ride. It is always a pleasure to ride through Longworth and reveal the beauty lurking at the back with the church and the manor house. Then the bridleway was very rideable to Hinton Waldrist and that's another lovely village too. After that it was just a case of bashing back to the Fox for the usual pub convivialities.
