Report:Wow! What a beautiful day for our first half day ride of the new season. Five of us set off from Wantage towards the ups & downs of the beautiful Berkshire countryside, enjoying the very quiet country lanes. It was so nice to meet so many other cyclists enjoying the glorious weather. We stopped at Hampstead Norreys Community Shop/Cafe for our well earned coffee & cake. The cafe was reasonably busy with cyclists, but the service was fast & efficient, serving up excellent coffee & an amazing range of cakes & savoury’s. It was really nice to catch up with a couple of our old club members at the cafe for a chat, Peter Cowan & David Brown who were out on an mountain bike adventure. Once refreshed we headed out towards the second part of the ride which was slightly flatter then the first half of the ride. We all enjoyed some more fabulous countryside & the decent of Peasmore Hill & Chain Hill. The ride was completely trouble free with no mechanicals. You were all an amazing group to lead! The longest & hilliest ride for most for a very long time. Kudos one & all | ||
