Description:PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF RIDE.There are various forecasts for Saturday, all on the distinctly warm side come the afternoon. Under the circumstances, I am reverting to the half day format, with an early start to hopefully keep reasonably cool. A regular route out to Ashbury for coffee, starting at 8.30. I know, it's a bit early but you will be glad really! The early start time will allow you all plenty of time to wander around air-conditioned supermarkets in the afternoon. Please text me if you would like to ride. |

Riders:Barry StantonDavid Jackson Des Higgs Gerry Jones Jenny Gower John Groves Karl Blake Roger Postbeschild Stephanie Haddrell Terry Penn Riders = 10 Weather: Report:Lovely conditions at 8.30 and a northeasterly tail wind made for an easy run out to Shrivenham and Bourton and the plan to arrive at the café in Ashbury worked well, they opened at 10.00 and we arrived at 10.10.Your leader had unfortunately omitted to inform the café that 10 cyclists were due to descend at once and the lone staff member had a bit of a wobble. Mea Culpa! Reinforcements arrived and smiles returned, we were all fully serviced and left at around 11.00. The northeasterly headwind was pleasantly cooling on the way back, Des peeled off to return home, having cycled out. Great to see Jenny and Terry out on a club ride. Iced lattes were enjoyed by some of us on our return to Parsons. The earlier start was fully justified as it was getting quite steamy by the time we got back. | ||
