Sociable ride of 24-40 km (15-25 miles) at a pace of 18-20km/h (11-13 mph).A loop around the Vale, featuring Charney Bassett, Hatford, Shellingford, Uffington and Kingston Lisle, with coffee at the rather splendid Cantorist Farm in Childrey before heading back via the old canal. 22 miles / 35km |

Riders:Barry StantonDavid Jackson Eddie Little John Tranter Roger Postbeschild Roger Turnbull Steve Swanton Terry Ryland Riders = 8 Weather: Report:Threatening clouds and a forecast of thunderstorms wasn't the best starting point but we set off regardless and ended up getting lucky - completely dry apart from a few spots of rain, and dry roads.A great group made it an easy ride, splitting into two smaller groups as needed to let cars past, and it was a stress-free ride to lead. Really good food and drink at The Cantorist, including their signature Cruffin - a mighty and scary mash-up between a croissant, a muffin and a doughnut, with added cream and jam. Perfect refuelling! We headed home via the tow path of the Wilts and Berks Canal and back into Grove. Thanks to all for a great morning. | ||
