Regular Wantage Ride - 30th Anniversary Classic 2*
Leader:
Steve Swanton
Start Time:
9:30 am
Start Location:
WMP
Description:
This year marks the 30th Anniversary of Cycling UK regular rides from Wantage, the very first of which took place on 17 July 1993. Since then our regular all-day ride starting from Wantage on the third Sunday of each month has been a cornerstone of our rides programme.

To kick-off our celebrations to mark the club's 30th Anniversary, this will be a classic touring ride into the Cotswolds marking 30 years of regular rides from Wantage. We'll make use of some favourite lanes including the Windrush valley. The ride of about 55 miles (89km) is largely flat with some gentle climbs on the way out with some steeper but short climbs on the return. The ride will be run at a steady 2* pace (11-13 mph) to make it more accessible.

Lunch at The Priory cafe in Burford with an optional tea stop at Aston Pottery on the return leg.

To help gauge numbers, please let me know if your are planning to come.
