Leader:Steve Boreham |
Start Time:6:30 pm |
Start Location:OMH |
Description:This is a pre-bookable ride. Please book your place by texting the ride leader no sooner than the Wednesday before the ride (don't forget to include your name).NB: NO Pub Night at the Fox Inn, Denchworth, tonight as the pub is closed for a family holiday. Our leisurely and sociable Tuesday evening 1* rides are designed specifically with adult newcomers to cycling and youngsters in mind, or those who just want some relaxed and sociable exercise. We cover a distance of 10-15 miles at a gentle pace of 8-10 mph, following quiet country lanes and the occasional easy off-road track. We stop regularly to catch our breath, to take in the views and anything that takes our interest along the way. |

Riders:Carin TranterDiana Whidborne Lorna Swanton Martyn Wigmore Michael Tayler Steve Boreham Steve Swanton Susan Holdroyd Riders = 8 Weather:Report:A good turn out of eight relaxed people for what turned out to be a lovely relaxed ride!. Slight amendment to the designated route - namely we went the opposite way round, so, after the obligatory pause at the Walnut tree in Denchworth, we curled via Charney Bassett, and then East before dropping down to West Hanney.Billed as pub night, the usual Denchworth watering hole was closed (oh no), so great suggestion made by Steve S to stop for a drink at the Plough in West Hanney - hence the above adjustment to time it right.... After being suitably refreshed at the pub, sitting in the garden as the weather was wonderful, we ambled back round to Grove. Thanks everyone for your company! | ||
