Description: START TIME CHANGED TO 8.15AM TO TRY AND GET AHEAD OF THE RAIN Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. A shorter offering than usual after Jo's longer New Forest ride earlier in the month. Possibly tea stop en route, at a riding pace of 18-22km/h (11-14mph). Not suitable for irregular riders. A 70k loop with some hills (nothing too strenuous) in the first half and then a nice flat ride across the Vale afterwards. Cafe stop in Shrivenham at about c44k. Let me know if you are coming.
Riders: James Bosley Jo Little Sharon Bedford Riders = 3 Report: Bringing the start forward paid off weather-wise as we only really had drizzle for most of the ride. Albeit James probably had the best idea peeling off in Grove - as it was very soggy from Grove to home. Despite the grey skies there were some beautiful autumn colours. 10/10 for the staff at the Farm Shop in Shrivenham who moved their pumpkin display to allow us to perch on some old milk churns to drink our coffees as all the tables were taken. Thanks to James and Jo for venturing out so early.
